Minecraft is a building game whose fame continues to increase by the day. In fact, it is one of the best-selling games of all time. This is actually quite understandable when you realize the fact that the benefits of the game are very broad. It is now being used within the classroom by educational tutors as a way of boosting the learning process of the students. Using its coding coupled with the entertainment and fun it gives, Minecraft remains of the most forceless ways to get students to learn.

However, if you are the type that likes playing a modded Minecraft server, you would probably love to add mods to the server so as to enhance the experience or incorporate something important that you believe the pack lacks. It is therefore understandable why there are lots of hosting services for different additional mods one of which is crazycraft server hosting. If you want to know how to add these mods, then this post is exactly what you need. Here, we provide you the basics of adding new mods to your Minecraft modded server.

Ensuring the basics are in place

Before you go ahead and add additional mods to your modded Minecraft server, you must ensure that certain things are in place. These requirements include the following:

· Be certain that your server and the local pack are both running the same Minecraft version. If the versions are different, then you have to see to it that they are the same.

· Ensure that the pack you are running is in the right working condition. If it has any issues, you must sort them out before adding the mods.

· Endeavor to ascertain that the version of the pack you are running matches not only in your launcher but also on the server.

Going into the basics

After ensuring that all the above have been done appropriately, you can now proceed to the fundamentals of adding additional mods to your Minecraft modded server. These basics are highlighted below.

Back up your everything and stop your server

The first thing you will be doing is to stop your server. Without doing this, you cannot proceed to the next steps. However, it is recommended that you backup your present World for the sake of unforeseen contingencies. In case anything goes wrong, you will have something to fall back on.

Connect your server

After doing the above, you should proceed by connecting your server. To do this, it is recommended that you use either the Multicraft FTP or alternatively, your own selected FTP software. There are lots of methods you can to connect with FTP. However, we won’t be talking about them here in order to save time.

Upload Mod to your server

After connecting your server, the next line of action is to upload the mod to the server. Of course, you can do this via your preferred FTP access. However, you have to make sure that it is uploaded to the actual folder of the mods. Alternatively, you might consider moving it to the folder after you have successfully uploaded it.

Start the server

At this point, you are all set and you are almost ready to start the server. The mod must have been successfully added, except there are any unexpected issues or troubles. Therefore, you should go ahead and start the server.

Post setup optional steps

If after you have successfully added an additional mod to your Minecraft modded server, you still want to make certain changes to the mod's configuration, you will have to first stop the server again. After doing that, you will make use of your chosen FTP connection to open the configuration folder. Once you have gained access to the “configs” folder, you can then easily navigate to the configuration file related to the mod that you have just added. If along the line you experience any problems or crash, then the way out of that will be troubleshooting. Troubleshooting takes some time, but it may be able to provide the solutions that you need.

Once you are done with all the steps listed above, you would have added additional mods to your Minecraft modded server successfully.
